The heart of the STEIGER® T 9xx HF is in the right place

Our Hydraulic Development Engineer – Thomas Düwel – designed the hydraulic circuit diagram for the new STEIGER® T 9 xx HF weeks ago. In cooperation with product designers and in accordance with structural specifications, the circuit diagram was then optimized with 3D CAD (computer aided design) software *.

On projects such as these, many questions arise that must be jointly agreed upon. Where, for example, should the hydraulic solenoid control valves and connections be located? The planned positioning of hoses and cables for other STEIGER® components must also be considered. They could otherwise be in the way if the hydraulic manifold block is installed at a later time. The user-friendly emergency control feature is also very important. In the rare case of emergency manual operation, the hydraulic solenoid valves must easily be accessible so that they can be activated within seconds. Furthermore, service technicians must have unrestricted access to the various components at all times. RUTHMANN product designers always ensure that service technicians can work with conventional tools and that measuring points can be accessed without any degree of difficulty.

After the design process was completed, the 3D construction design data was sent to our trusted supplier, who then manufactured the component on RUTHMANN’s behalf.  The prototype of the hydraulic manifold block on the new SKY performance STEIGER® is a direct result of RUTHMANN’s 3D design data, and time-tested collaboration between us and our expert suppliers

In the presence of our Quality Assurance Manager, Mr. Ebner-Hipp, the prototype has now been thoroughly tested by our supplier.  The photos show the highly professional testing area, which can perfectly simulate real life, future functions of the hydraulic manifold block.

On a side note: The hydraulic manifold block on the T 9xx HF is small and light enough to be lifted/mounted to the turret using only a hoist (e.g. crane).

The photos below reveal that the production of the base frame and turret is proceeding at a rapid pace.
