After placing a record-breaking order with RUTHMANN in 2015, the same customer is back for more in 2016.

Britain’s Lavendon Group – to which Gardemann belongs – has placed another massive order with RUTHMANN. This latest order is worth over 7.3 million euros.

In order to further rejuvenate and expand its fleet of truck-mounted aerial work platforms in England and Germany, Lavendon Group has once again invested heavily in its Nationwide (England) and Gardemann (Germany) rental divisions.

Because of its popularity in England, Nationwide will add 5 additional STEIGER ® T 330 models (on 7.49 t chassis) to its rental line-up. The British division will also be receiving 2 STEIGER ® T 285 HV 10 models in the 10 t category. Compared to the standard version on a 7.49 t chassis, the principal advantages of this STEIGER ® can be found in the narrower support mechanism. RUTHMANN’s narrow support design does not restrict the performance capabilities of the HV 10 model in any way.

The lion's share of this record order will however be delivered to Gardemann. A total of 29 STEIGER ® models – with working heights between 17 and 33 metres, mounted on 3.5 t and 7.49 t chassis – will soon be enhancing Gardemann’s rental line-up. The order also comprises half a dozen larger truck-mounted work platforms, all the way up to the sensational T 630 from the popular HEIGHT performance-series. This model features a  working height of 63 metres.

Gardemann Sales and Marketing Director – Gerrit Sellmer – stated, “Through innovative developments, RUTHMANN offers working height, reach capacity, and stability on 3.5 t chassis that until recently had only been available on significantly heavier vehicles. After all of the positive customer feedback we received for the 50 new STEIGER ® truck-mounts last year, it was clear that we would continue to enhance our selection with RUTHMANN products. Since last summer, our new work platforms have been in constant use and thoroughly tested. Operators were particularly impressed with the outstanding performance capabilities, top-notch quality, and easy handling.
We have come to rely on the technical quality and dependability of truck-mounted aerial work platforms made by RUTHMANN.”

The order also includes 6 STEIGER ® T 170 models – RUTHMANN’s latest innovation. This new model features a working height of 17 m, a synthetic basket, vertical supports, and a basket load capacity of 350 kg. The 7.49 t chassis gives the T 170 a very generous payload capacity, making it ideal for municipal applications.
Gardemann’s decision to add the T 170 to its selection, illustrates the growing importance of this business sector.

RUTHMANN General Manager, Rolf Kulawik, made the following comment: “Last year, Gardemann placed the biggest individual order in the history of the company. We are very pleased about our ongoing collaboration and delighted to receive yet another major order from the Lavendon Group in 2016. We are thankful for the trust placed in us and for the amazing partnership that has developed.”
